How to join the Plattsburg Artist Coalition 

Come join us! We meet the 3rd Wednesday of every month, March through November, at 6:30, at the Plattsburg Community Courtyard, 117 West Maple. Meetings include discussion and voting on Coalition activities and discussions and presentations by artists on creating art. Members are not required to exhibit at the show and do not have to be from Plattsburg. We’re open to all artists and lovers of art.

Rules

  • Media: Oil, Acrylic, Watercolor, Fiber, Pastel, Graphics & Drawings, Sculpture, Ceramics, Photography, Jewelry, Glass, Porcelain, Metal, Wood and Mixed Media are accepted media (Fine Arts)

  • All work must be originals or reproductions of originals, conceived designed and executed by the exhibiting artist. Work from kits, molds or mass produced items will not be accepted (Craft Items). The Plattsburg Artist Coalition reserves the right to prohibit exhibition of unsuitable work.

  • Artists must be present and exhibits remain open for the entire 2-day event, until 5:00 pm Saturday.

  • Fill out the application form and mail with a $50 check to:

  • Membership runs from June to June.  

  • There will be NO refund for cancellations.

Deadline

  • October 1, 2024:  Application form, your membership and show fee must be received. First floor exhibition space is limited.

  • October 10, 2024:  Selection process begins.

  • October 19, 2024:  Please attend this very important meeting at the Community Courtyard. This is the last meeting before the show and we finalize all show details.

  • November 4, 2024:  All exhibits must be ready by 4:00 pm.

Displays

  • The Plattsburg Artist Coalition owns a limited number of display walls which will be provided on a first come basis.  Tables and chairs are available. Please let the Plattsburg Artist Coalition know if you have special needs.

  • Artists may provide their own set ups including extension cords, easels, lighting or any other display fixtures not provided by the Plattsburg Artist Coalition. Electricity provided.

  • All art must remain up until 5:00 pm Saturday. Exhibits can be taken down after 5:00 pm not before.

  • All exhibiting artists are required to help clean up each evening and at the end of the show.

 

Sales

  • NO COMMISSION CHARGES

  • Artists are responsible for collecting for their own sales.
